Spring in the Garden

In this brisk Missouri weather we’ve been having (60 degrees and shorts on Friday, icicles on the car on Saturday), I admit that I am longing a bit for spring in the beautiful botanical gardens at Shaw’s Garden.

Every year brings new delights as flowers blossom, festivals are scheduled, and special exhibits open. One of my favorites from years past was in 2006 when the glass artist, Chihuly, came to town.

To celebrate the first Cardinals I’ve seen in our patch of earth (backyard), here are some photos of springtime at Shaw’s Garden.

What have I left out? Share your memories of a botanical garden near you.
