I love watercolors.
I grew up spending summers at Tower Grove Park, a Victorian walking park bordering the Missouri Botanical Gardens. Although I no longer live on the South Side, I still enjoy seeing artwork by local and visiting artists.
Two I have recently discovered are Michael Anderson of Sketching St. Louis, and Memphis artist, Martha Kelly.
Michael Anderson has a colorful, vintage feel to his watercolor prints while Martha Kelly has a very Arts and Crafts style to some of her prints like “Missouri Botanical Gardens” and “Overton Park” while her watercolors have a dreamy, just painted in my sketchbook quality that I like.
