Showcase Sunday: An Overview of the Feature

Showcase Sunday is an original feature/meme hosted by Vicky @ Books, Biscuits and Tea. ~ Showcase Sunday is designed to share your latest reads received from reviewing, libraries, book shops, and other sources. Thanks to Vicky for creating this meme and encouraging participants.

Last year I started blogging on Sundays as an alternative to the “In My Mailbox” and “Stacking the Shelves” memes floating around the internet, and began participating in Kimba’s meme, “The Sunday Post”.  You can still find these archived under the tag The Sunday Post.

It’s spring here in the Midwest and I’m sprucing up the website with new banners and a new look.  It goes to follow that I am going to try out new features and see what takes (and what doesn’t), so I’m replacing The Sunday Post with Showcase Sunday.

Why?  Well, because Vicky seems pretty cool.  How do I determine that?  Because she likes tea, which is awesome, books which are WAY awesome, and her sweater with the kitty cat wearing glasses was reproduced for Facebook’s Disney City Girl as a purchasable item.  And if you’re wearing fashion that DCG’s design team rips off, you’re cool with me!

So, check out this space for books I’ve recently picked up at the library, book sales, reviewing, and other places.  I’ll be exploring with outline formats until I find the perfect fit.  You can provide the meme but a girl’s gotta branch out and feel her own way, know what I mean?  #tryingtogrow

Mondays have traditionally been my day to pick out new books at the library so since this is a Sunday series, I’m going to have to start making weekend trips instead (lol).  Another reason to get out of the bed earlier on the weekend.

Check back here Easter Sunday for my first picks. Until then!
