Ads on the site, yikes!

I’ve just seen what the ads look like on a free WordPress site and frankly, I’m horrified. Please note that free WordPress users have no control over the types of ads that appear. I can upgrade to a paid WordPress plan and eliminate ads appearing, but that’s it. I rarely post here so the idea of paying more just to turn ads off entirely is…less than appealing.

Please note that I make no revenue from this website and do not vouch for any of the products, services or websites linked via the ads that may appear. These are selected by WordPress, via whoever their ad partner is. My guess is they’re getting some sort of payment for this and that supports them being able to offer free website hosting.

As a casual WordPress user, I pay for my own domain name and privacy, but not a paid plan to remove ads. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused any real readers to this website, which is mostly just old posts about shows I enjoyed watching at one point in time, local events, and talking about God.

It’s very early in the morning here but I feel the need to post some kind of acknowledgment, now that I’ve seen them myself, and I’m disappointed. I’m not sure what my next step is going to be. I’m considering making the site private, or taking it down permanently. For now, please be aware that any links you click on this site are taken at your own risk, and again, I make no money by you clicking the ads. They don’t support me in any way. Thank you for reading.
